Master Control Rooms are central technology spaces that provide active monitoring and control. Whether the space is designed to monitor critical systems or social media feeds (or anything in between), the system is generally designed to feed content to a single display and when necessary, explode that content across all screens on the video wall.
There are multiple considerations to factor in when designing these rooms. Audio signals are often necessary to relay information between rooms, redundancy and back up systems must be engineered into the system, and for rooms that operate 24/7, additional devices are necessary to prevent equipment failure. In addition, active ventilation in the room and temperature control is recommended due to the heat loads generated from the centralized racks. These are complex spaces that benefit from an AV team that has the experience to implement a well planned audiovisual system integration.
